07/02/2008 - Joined the International Association of Coaching and Pledged to abide by
IAC Ethical Principles and Code of Ethics
About the coach: David Ezell uses targeted, scientifically based and time-focused coaching techniques. Unlike more traditional therapeutic or psychological methods, the client and coach are collaborators--establishing goals and the steps to get there. Each session involves the evaluation of progress, a discussion of problems and obstacles and plans to execute the next steps. Beyond that, they will also explore the underlying issues that keep clients from reaching their goals on their own. By examining underlying issues and addressing them, the client will better understand the obstacles as well as the part they own in contributing to meeting their goals.
David has a variety of graduate degrees in the social sciences, including a Masters in clinical psychology from Columbia University and doctoral training from Long Island University. Over the past few years he has also received additional training in cognitive behavioral techniques and studied family systems at the Salvador Minuchin Center for the Family. In addition to the IAC, David is also a member of the American Psychological Association, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and The American Group Psychotherapy Association.
