Coaching, Mentoring and Supervision
The IAC advocates the professional value of coaches having their own coach, mentor and supervisor. In fact, the IAC believes it's so important that they are practically including a coach, mentor or supervisor in every IAC membership.
As an IAC member, you get access to one ReciproCoach coaching, mentoring or supervision round with your annual IAC membership. ReciproCoach gives you access to reciprocal peer coaching, mentoring and supervision. With ReciproCoach, by giving coaching and mentoring, you can receive coaching and mentoring, and by participating in supervision groups, you can give and receive through collaborative learning.
The IAC literally pays its members way - all other coaches pay at least $55 to participate in a ReciproCoach round! That's how much the IAC cares about their members' professional development as a coach and they've put their money where their mouth is.
You can get complete information for how ReciproCoach works from their website but in a nutshell, if you join a coaching round, you basically get matched with a coach and a client (two different people). You then receive coaching from one coach, in return for giving it to another. Similarly for mentoring, you receive feedback on your coaching from one coach, in return for giving it to another. And for supervision, you collaboratively give and receive in a group by sharing knowledge, experience and learning.
