Welcome
to the International
Association of Coaching!
In
March 2008, we turned
5 years old and
I am proud to say
that we have created
the foundations
of a sustainable
and meaningful organization.
We
are beginning to
accomplish our mission:
to inspire the on-going
evolution and application
of universal coaching
standards. We do
this through our
rigorous certification
process which
evaluates the demonstration
of specific masteries
that are the hallmark
of the most effective
and distinguished
coaches.
Our
certification system
defines us.
Using
the IAC
Coaching Masteries™
as our standard,
we provide the opportunity
for coaches from
all backgrounds
to clearly assess
and verify that
their coaching abilities
are at the highest
level of mastery.
This performance-based
assessment provides
profound learning
opportunities for
coaches, and supports
the development
of the most efficient
coach training systems.
This
performance-based
assessment is also
open to anyone who
strives to use the
highest quality
coaching techniques
in their work in
consulting, managing,
parenting and other
fields.
Our
complete independence
from coach training
organizations allows
us to encourage
the marketplace
to learn and develop
the most efficient
ways to teach coaching.
We
are powered by our
members, not only
by their membership
fees but also by
their ideas and
their volunteer
efforts that allow
us to shape and
develop the IAC.
As
we grow, we are
becoming truly international.
We have members
in 36 countries
and are in the process
of expanding our
certification system
to provide certification
in Spanish, Chinese,
French, Korean and
other languages.
Our
members understand
the profound benefits
of coaching, are
committed to excellence
in coaching, and
advocate a system
that supports unencumbered
growth and development
of the coaching
profession into
the future.
