  Sharing What is There

A Message from Barbara Mark PhD
President, International Association of Coaches

BarbaraMark.com

The IAC is currently developing new intellectual property that is globally responsive and will become the foundation for the IAC certification process. We have had a dedicated team of 18 people from around the world working on it. It is now time to expand the process to a larger R&D team. We are interested in having as many countries represented in this process as is possible and we are excited to welcome feedback and input from our members from many different cultures and locations.

The criteria for participation on the team is that you have strong coaching expertise and experience and that you have adequate time to participate in the process. We are also looking for people from various coaching niches. We would like to have a broad representation of life, small business, executive, and corporate coaching from around the world.

The process will involve the reading of what has been developed so far and then offering insights, feedback and clarification about how we might refine it so that it is as clear and elegant as it can possibly be. Much of the interaction is virtual and we try to have team meetings via conference call on a regular basis.

While fluency in English is not a requirement, you will need to be able to get your thoughts across in a way that we can all understand either orally or in written form. We apologize for the fact that we do not have the ability to translate.

If this is a project that you would like to participate in, please contact me at Barbara@BarbaraMark.com. I look forward to hearing from you!

Warmly,

Eliciting Greatness

Town Hall Meetings
by Gina Blakeslee, Editor, IAC Voice
RGB Consulting

We have scheduled four more “Town Hall” meetings for August. We are using this time together with our members to develop new ideas and directions for the IAC. These town hall meetings give us the opportunity to learn and share. So many new people have stepped up to the plate to volunteer their time and immense talents to help shape and grow the IAC.

I am truly thrilled to tell you that the IAC is about to take off and, it is my belief, that our profession and our clients will really benefit. For me, it is a real privilege to be part of what is happening.

We hope that we hear from many more coaches as we move through the next months. The town hall meetings give each of us the opportunity to find a place, a niche, to use our time and talent to propel the IAC forward. We each have a voice in deciding where this organization will go. It is a very exciting time indeed.

Here are the new dates for the August town hall meetings. I hope you can join us.
